I went to Queensmead in Ruislip and then Royal Holloway (University of London), where I read Economics & Politics, graduating in 1994 and starting a graduate training role with Marks & Spencer plc. I moved through a range of roles within the private sector and in 2009 I completed my MBA in International Management at Liverpool University and set up my own consultancy and a digital agency based in Soho, London.
I have played an active role in Conservative politics since I was 18 and was first elected to Hillingdon Council in 1998 & I have been a Councillor for 15 years this May (2013). Next year (2014) I will stand for my fifth election to see if Northwood would like me to continue to represent them on Hillingdon Council.
I greatly enjoy the work I do for local people and organisations. The importance of ward representation can be seen in some ofthe investment that I have been able to gain for Northwood. In 2009/2010, the Green Lane project was completed with over £1m spent on improvements and refinements to the main shopping area of the ward. The unveiling of the ‘Green Man’ carving was the final piece of a long project.
